Harvard Business School : The summer overseas HBS exchange program requires all Harvard Business School students to engage with the local landscape (of their chosen exchange country).

We designed a program where local social entrepreneurs shared insights of their work in a market like China. Furthermore, we organised an elderly engage program where the local elderly were able to share & teach skills to the students. This also included spending some quality time with one another so that both parties could share more of their life experiences and current situation. From this students were able to get a greater understanding on what the life of a local was like in modern day China.

Special cultural activities took place with the local youth helping in translation.

 

North Cross Xinle School : Xinle School is one of the many bilingual schools in Shanghai today. With time China is seeing a huge rise in the number of Billingual schools. Particularly as we see a greater desire for an international educational environment, as well as for better preparation for the increasing demand of overseas higher education applications.

We designed a program for students to be able to think more creatively and flexible, to develop inwardly and be able to adapt to a shift in mindset that empowers the student

 
 

Think Global School : Think Global is a travelling high school which curates its school modules around project based work. We helped in contributing to their program by curating a module called ‘Journey Home’.

Journey home was about the mass domestic immigration movement in China - what it means, why it happens and the impact of it for the future.

We arranged a series of story telling afternoons, where migrants from varied minorities, ages and socio-economic backgrounds presented their stories.

Students were tasked to put what they learnt into action via a creative process e.g building board games or multi media arts experiences.

 

Vanke International Thespian Festival : We were contributors to the Vanke Thesbian festival, where we broke down our story telling events into workshops. The aim was to get Chinese students to emulate some of the hard and soft skills needed to build upon their own creative work.

This was designed to allow local students to think in different ways, using their own interest points and techniques that would guide them in building their own story telling creative experiences.

Main skill set gains were confidence building, creative expression developments, multi disciplinary work.

 

Zhenghua Vocational School : China’s vocational schools often look for more alternative extra curriculum programs, one allow a less academically driven group of children to be excited by service oriented programs.

We put into place a series of gamified and hands on project building modules that was centred around practical service oriented skill.

 

Shibei Junior Middle School : This Public, Shanghai based school required a module that challenged the students in thinking further afield and to be able to express themselves in different ways.

We created a 16 week study program called ‘Global Immersion & Creative Expression’, students were challenged to pick a topic relevant in at least 3 countries and express how they felt about the issue via creative mediums designed by themselves.
